The Summer Theatre Experience is a 6-week creative theatre program for children ages 12 to 17. The 6-week duration of this summer experience introduces the participants to many theatre aspects: technical and artistic.

 

This is a hands-on program where those interested in learning how lights function, how sets are built, how costumes are put together, and how props are created get the opportunity to not only learn the process but also apply it. On the artistic side, students learn about acting, writing, directing, choreographing, and theatre collaboration.

Through the duration of the program, participants come together to produce their own show from scratch, including writing the script, and helping each other on character development, directing, collaborating creating the sets, the props, the costumes, etc.

 

The program concludes with at least one public performance where family and family attend for free.
